That is a separate purchase path. Use your Apify account and API key, and follow the current pricing on the individual Actor's Store page. Apify platform plans, usage limits and Actor charges are managed on Apify.

A few practical answers.

Are these monthly subscriptions?

No. Starter, Growth and Scale are one-time credit purchases. Paid credits do not expire. You choose when to top up; buying a pack does not start a recurring subscription.

How many searches does a pack cover?

There is no single searches-per-pack figure. Credit use depends on the tool, selected sources, geography and options. Use estimate_cost in your connected assistant before a paid call, then check credits_used in the result metadata.

Do I need an Apify account for MCP?

No. Connect the MCP using your Thirdwatch account through OAuth or a Thirdwatch API key. We operate the source integrations. You only need an Apify account when you choose to run scrapers directly on Apify.

Can I use Thirdwatch credits on Apify?

No. Thirdwatch credit packs pay for Thirdwatch MCP tools. Apify has a separate account, API key, balance and pricing. Credits and purchases do not transfer between the two.

Which tools are free?

professional_search suggests the appropriate tool without fetching data. estimate_cost previews the selected tool's cost, and get_account_info checks your balance and recent usage. These three helpers use no credits.

What happens when a search returns nothing?

The credit flow reserves credits before a data call. If the call produces no usable results, those credits are returned. A search can return partial results and warnings; review its coverage and credit metadata.
